This collection breaks down a quick lesson published by Rick Beato on youtube shorts. You can refer to the video by clicking on the "video" tab.
This collection contains 6 exercises for the 6 distinct parts or shapes and the 7th exercise is the entire piece, which should be significantly easier once you practice and perfect each of the 6 parts in isolation.
This exercise serves multiple purposes, combining musical theory concepts with practical technique development. As a composition, it offers pleasing melodic content while functioning as an advanced exercise in navigating string skips and various picking approaches. In my personal experience, this exercise also "keeps you on your toes" and demands greater levels of concentration.
You may explore different picking techniques, including alternate picking and economy picking, with the option to experiment with inside/outside picking patterns. Each method brings its own technical challenges and tonal characteristics to the piece.
A particular technical challenge emerges when performing the piece at higher tempos, especially during the transition from B♭ major back to D minor.
