Descending triad shapes

Lesson by Warren Mendonsa (a.k.a Blackstratblues) based on the E Major Scale that uses descending triad shapes horizontally across the neck.

I find it to be a good exercise to play with alternate picking as well as finger picking.

In the video, Warren first plays 8th notes at 80 bpm followed by 16th notes at the same speed. But to avoid repetition in Captrice, I've created a single exercise with 160 bpm as the target speed that you can practice with 8th notes (start at 50% of the tempo and gradually increase until 160 bpm or more).

In this collection
  • 2 exercises
  • 4 variations
  • Time Signature(s): 4/4
  • Tempo: 160 bpm
